The oral/practical exam consists of two separate testing sessions. Each session will last approximately 60-90 minutes. On the day of testing, you will complete one session in the morning and one session in the afternoon. You will be required to bring a photo ID and a current copy of your CV. Please dress professionally in business attire for the exam.
One testing session will pertain to comprehension. You will be tested in the following areas:
- Assessment and comprehension of paperwork
- Interview
- Examination
- Diagnostics
- Passive treatment plan
- Risk analysis
- Baseline assessment for active care
The other testing session will pertain to skills. You will be tested in the following areas:
- Functional assessment
- Endurance tests
- Active treatment plan
- Floor program
- Cardio testing
- Sensory motor
- Flexibility
The results of the exam will be reported, in writing, approximately three weeks from the date of your exam. Each section is independent of the other and it may be possible that you pass one section and not the other. If this occurs, only the failed section would need to be repeated in the future.
